ROUTE: Sofia – Thessaloniki – Sofia
INFO: Thessaloniki is the second largest town in Greece and the capital of Northern Greece called also Macedonia. Visiting Thessaloniki from Sofia will give you a unique chance to see this glorious place in only one day and to get acquainted with its rich history. You will see the Arch of Constantin, the Church Saint Sofia, the Rotonda Saint George, the White Tower, the Square of Aristotelis, the Roman Forum and the Byzantine Walls surrounding the town. You will admire beautiful views from the promenade and will enjoy a real Greek “frappé”.
8 am – Pick up from your hotel. Departure to the Greek border. Cross the border at around 10:10 am.
12:30 am – Scheduled time to arrive in Thessaloniki. Your Bulgarian guide will show you the most remarkable landmarks of Thessaloniki – The Arch of Constatin, The Church St Sofia, The Rotonda St. George, The Roman Forum, The Square of Aristotelis, The White Tower. The tour will last around two hours. In the afternoon – free time for exploring the city on your own and have lunch.
4:30 pm – Departure to Sofia. Before leaving Thessaloniki visit the fortress walls situated on one of the hills surrounding the city.
9 pm – Arrive in Sofia. Drop off in your hotel
OPTIONAL: This tour can be cobined with visit to the Rila Monastery. In this case we will have to leave Sofia at 7 am and will cut off one hour from your free time in Thessaloniki.
