DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1 – May 31, 2024 – Friday – Arrive in Sofia and take a sightseeing tour of the city

Arrival at Sofia Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Walking tour in the center – visit the Saint Nedelya Church, the Statue of St Sofia – the symbol of the city, the Parliament square, the Presidency, the National Theater, the Ruins of Serdica and the Rotonda St George 4th c. AC, the Russian Church, the St. Sophia early Christian basilica, which has given the city its name, the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral – the biggest and the most beautiful on the Balkan Peninsula, the Monument of Alexander II – Tzar Liberator. Day 2 – June 1, 2024 – Saturday – Sofia – Kazanlak

Departure to Kazanlak. On the way – visit a rose distillery where you will get more information about the rose industry in Bulgaria. Here you will also see the process of boiling the rose oil. Before your eyes the petals will turn into oil. Arrive in the town of Kazanlak. Visit the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak – the monument dates back to the 4th century BC and has been on the UNESCO protected World Heritage.  Visit the historical museum of Kazanlak – one of the richest and most interesting museums in Bulgaria. Numerous findings dating to the Thracian times will give you complete information about the Thracian culture and civilization. Drive to the Russian Church (12 km of Kazanlak) in the foothills of Stara Planina. Its golden domes and the green and pink colored facade loom against the mountains and attract the attention of the travelers in the Shipka pass. Return to Kazanlak. Visit the Museum of Rose. Day 3 – June 2, 2024 – Sunday – Kazanlak

Two main events mark the celebrations – harvesting ritual in the rose gardens and the parade along the main street of the town. After breakfast we will visit the Rose fields where we will take part in rose picking. At noon will start the Carnival parade. Official lunch with traditional folklore program. Day 4 – June 3, 2024 – Monday – Kazanlak – Plovdiv – Sofia

Departure to Plovdiv. Sightseeing tour of the old town of Plovdiv. Lunch in a traditional restaurant where you will taste some delicious Bulgarian dishes. Departure to Sofia. Drop off at the airport or your hotel. End of service.

Upon booking we require 30% of the price which is non refundable. This is because of the fact that the hotels in Kazanlak request 100% non-refundable prepayment upon booking.

The balance is due 21 days before arrival

Cancellations :

21 to 14 days prior to departure – 50 % of the balance

14 to 7 days prior to departure – 70 % of the balance

7 to 3 days prior to departure – 80 % of the balance

3 to 0 days prior to departure – 100 % of the balance

After the departure or no-show – 100 % of the balance
